SY-PARTS Concludes A Successful CAPAFAIR 2026

Aug 18, 2026 Leave a message

August 12–14, 2026 – The 2026 Ningbo International Auto Parts and Aftermarket Exhibition (CAPAFAIR) came to a vibrant close at the Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center. As one of China's premier export-oriented trade platforms for automotive components, this year's event brought together 2,066 exhibitors across 51,650 square meters of exhibition space, featuring approximately 2,500 booths in Halls 1–8.

For our team at SY-PARTS, the three-day show was far more than a product display-it was a dynamic hub for face-to-face dialogue with global buyers, a real-world test of market needs, and a valuable opportunity to strengthen existing relationships while seeding new ones.

A Gathering of Global Automotive Professionals

From the moment the doors opened on August 12, our booth became a meeting point for a diverse cross-section of the international automotive community. Despite regional travel disruptions from weather systems, the fair maintained strong momentum, recording 18,289 visits on the first day alone, with 661 overseas buyers representing over 100 countries and regions-a significant increase in professional buyer density compared to previous editions. news-356-242

We were privileged to host a wide range of visitors, including a purchasing director from a respected Korean automotive group (TCIC) , who engaged our technical team in detailed discussions on product architecture, manufacturing consistency, and market-specific quality benchmarks. Our conversations with friends from Taiwan centered on material selection, surface finishing aesthetics, and performance requirements-exchanges that underscored a universal truth in our industry: one product does not fit all markets.

Clients from Iran, alongside buyers from the bustling Yiwu trading hub, also brought unique perspectives on cost-performance priorities and regional application environments. These interactions reaffirmed our commitment to understanding not just what a customer buys, but why and for whom they are buying.

Beyond the Surface: Technical Dialogues That Matter

One of the most rewarding aspects of the exhibition was the depth of technical exchange-particularly around surface treatment technologies for aluminum and ferrous components.

During a focused session with our Taiwanese counterparts, we explored the nuanced world of aluminum finishing. We discussed how sandblasting creates a foundational matte texture, while natural anodizing preserves the metal's luster while enhancing hardness and corrosion resistance-a preference common in Japanese and Korean OE-inspired products. In contrast, hard anodizing, which produces a darker, extremely wear-resistant layer, is frequently specified for the North American aftermarket, where durability under harsh conditions is paramount.

For steel components, we examined the protective roles of E-coating (electrophoretic deposition) , zinc plating, chrome plating, and conventional spray painting. The consensus was clear: selecting the right process is not merely cosmetic. It involves a holistic evaluation of:

  • Base material properties
  • Intended operating environment
  • OE-matching requirements
  • Regional market preferences
  • Mechanical performance (hardness, abrasion resistance, corrosion protection)

This exchange of practical knowledge-rooted in real-world application and manufacturing capability-was one of the fair's most energizing highlights.

The Fair Ends, but the Conversation Continues

news-1920-2560

As the exhibition halls emptied on August 14, the real work began. We left Ningbo with a portfolio of actionable leads and follow-up commitments:

  • Some clients require further product cross-referencing and sample matching.
  • Others have requested detailed technical data packages and compliance documentation.
  • A number of promising partners are now scheduling factory audits to evaluate our production lines, quality control systems, and R&D capabilities.

We firmly believe that a successful B2B relationship in the automotive aftermarket is built on shared understanding and operational transparency. A handshake at a trade show is a starting point; a factory visit is the foundation of trust.
