Dry goods to share! Brake hose installation guide

Brake hoses, also called brake hoses, brake hoses, and brake oil hoses, are very important components in the automotive braking system. The brake hose transports the brake fluid, transmits the braking force, and ensures the timely and effective completion of the brake, which plays an indispensable role in the braking process.

Why replace brake hoses?

The brake hose is usually made of rubber. With the increase of use time, the rubber will gradually age, and the hose will have problems such as cracking, bulging, and oil leakage, which not only affect the braking effect, but also threaten driving safety. Therefore, once the above fault, the brake hose needs to be replaced immediately.

What happens if the brake hose is not installed properly?

When replacing the brake hose, if the installation position is not properly handled, when braking or steering, it will cause friction to the brake hose and cause damage, shortening its mission life. During continuous or emergency braking, the vehicle will lose braking force due to pipe burst and brake fluid leakage, which will affect driving stability and safety. Therefore, it is best to find a professional maintenance master to do the installation, and it is not recommended to do it by yourself.

What should I pay attention to when installing the brake hose?

1. When installing the replacement hose, follow the original parts to avoid twisting and scratching.

2. If installing a protective cover or intermediate piece, please ensure that the position is the same as that of the original brake hose.

3. Align the threads of the connecting joints, and tighten them with a torque not exceeding 25 Nm after smooth tightening. Over-tightening with brute force will lead to slippage and detachment. If the butt screw is not smoothly tightened, the thread will be damaged, and the sealing surface cannot be smoothly connected and sealed.

4. Bleed the brake hydraulic system according to the instructions in the vehicle manufacturer's maintenance manual.

5. If the air enters the system through the main pump, unscrew the air release screw to release air until the air is exhausted.

6. After the installation is complete, recheck the liquid level in the main pump oil tank, if necessary, top up and recap.

7. Repeatedly step on the brake pedal with your feet to see if it is still standing. If the pedal moves with the foot, it means that there is still air in the system, and it should continue to be emptied.

8. Before the final road test, check the hard pipe and hose joints for leaks.
