Abstract
Recently, many car companies (mainly new forces and new brands of traditional car companies) announced delivery/sales data for August 2023. (Tesla has not released sales data. Its data is released by the Passenger Car Association and will be supplemented later.)
1.BYD
BYD’s new energy vehicle sales in August 2023 were 274,386 units, of which new energy passenger vehicle sales increased 57.5% year-on-year to 274,086 units. From January to August 2023, the cumulative sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 5.1 million.
2. Aian
On September 1, GAC Aian announced sales data. Due to current factory production capacity constraints, it sold 45,000 vehicles in August this year and delivered 52,000 vehicles, a month-on-month increase of 15.62%. Aian said that the sales target for this year is 550,000 vehicles, and it is still planning to expand production.
3. Li Auto
In August 2023, Li Auto delivered a total of 34,914 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 663.8%. The monthly delivery of the three Li-series L series models all exceeded 10,000 units. From January to August 2023, the cumulative delivery of ideal cars has reached 208,165.
4.Great Wall
Great Wall New Energy sold 26,266 vehicles in August. Among them, there are 7,406 Haval vehicles, 10,206 Euler vehicles, 5,616 Wei brand vehicles, and 3,036 tanks.
5.Wuling Bingo
In August, the monthly sales volume of Wuling Bingo was 20,188 units, and the cumulative sales volume of the car has reached 101,524 units. Cumulative sales exceeded 100,000 units within 6 months of its launch.
6. NIO
In August 2023, NIO delivered a total of 19,329 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 81.0%. From January to August 2023, NIO delivered a total of 94,352 new cars. A total of 383,908 NIO new cars have been delivered.
7.DEEPAL
The sales volume of DEEPAL Automobile in August was 14,736 units, of which, the monthly sales of Deep Blue S7 reached 10,039 units, and the monthly sales of another model, Deep Blue SL03, was 4,697 units.
8.Leapmotor
Leapmotor delivered a total of 14,190 units in August, down 1% from 14,335 units in July. The C series accounted for more than 85% of the delivery volume in August, and the C11 car series delivered more than 10,000 units in a single month.
9.Xpeng
In August 2023, Xpeng Motors delivered a total of 13,690 new cars, a month-on-month increase of 24% and a year-on-year increase of 43%. Deliveries exceeded 10,000 units for two consecutive months, and it has maintained a growth trend for seven consecutive months.
10.ZEEKR
In August, ZEEKR delivered 12,303 vehicles, becoming the month with the highest sales volume in history. Starting from 2023, Jikrypton's sales have shown a month-on-month growth trend, and the overall performance is relatively strong. At present, Jikr mainly has three products: 001, Jikr X and 009, of which 001 is still the main sales force.
