SAIC-GM announced that due to the manufacturer's producing problems, there may be foreign matter in the brake master cylinder. After using for a period, the brake hydraulic unit may work abnormally, affecting the vehicle's braking performance and posing safety risks. According to the requirements of the “Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products”, manufacturers will recall a part of Buick LaCrosse 2020, Chevrolet Malibu XL 2020 and Cadillac XT4t 2020 which are produced from March 30 to May 27 in 2020. The recall started on October 10th, and there are a total of 2,215 vehicles.
SAIC-GM will replace the brake master cylinders for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards. In addition to the manufacturer's initiative to inform the user, the owner can also check the production date of his vehicle or call the dealer to inquire.
