The brake master cylinder is the main component here. It transmits thebraking force from the pedal to the caliper. It consists of a push rod, a brake hose, an oil outlet and so on. From the internal structure, it consists of an oil input end, an oil compensation end, a first piston, a second piston, and a return spring.

The brake master cylinder is filled with brake fluid. When the driver steps on the brake pedal, it pushes the first piston to close the first compensation port, so the first hydraulic cylinder can generate pressure to push the second hydraulic cylinder , And then the second compensation port is also closed, so the two pistons will push the oil to the brake calipers. In case the No. 2 piston cannot build up pressure, the No. 1 piston can also build up pressure under a longer stroke; but if the No. 1 piston fails, the No. 2 piston cannot be pushed by the pressure, so the end of the No. 1 piston is pushed. The rod may push the No. 2 piston, but the brake pedal is required to provide greater pedaling force.

Since the master cylinder needs a lot of power to push to work effectively, we need another component-a brake booster. The booster is located between the master cylinder and the brake pedal. It uses the engine's production to assist in braking. The force required to step on the brake does not need to be great.

The booster is internally composed of valve push rod, dust cover, air filter, valve spring, valve diaphragm, diaphragm return spring, vacuum check valve and hydraulic push rod. When the driver steps on the brake pedal, the valve push rod will open the internal valve, so air will flow into the front chamber of the diaphragm through the air filter, the rear chamber is evacuated by the engine, and the air in the front chamber Pressure will be generated to push the diaphragm, thereby further pushing the hydraulic push rod to apply pressure to the brake master cylinder, thus providing brake boosting, so that the pedaling force of the brake is reduced.
