Brake Master Cylinder

Step one: first open the hood of the car, determine the position of the brake fluid.

If you have trouble finding the brake fluid storage, try looking at the back of the engine bay.

Step 2: Get a friend or family member in your car and hit the brakes.

When they brake, look at the cylinder to see if the liquid starts to spin or bubble.

If so, you will want to take your car and have the brake master cylinder checked.

Step 3: Next, you want to check the surrounding area to make sure there are no leaks.

Step 4: Start applying the brake and keep applying the same pressure until the brake stops.

If you notice the brake pedal starting to sink to the floor, you should call and make an appointment with any qualified transmission shop in your area.

Chances are your brake master cylinder will need to be repaired or replaced.
