Uzbekistan (Tashkent) International Automotive Parts, Automotive Technology and Services Exhibition (Automechanika Tashkent) is the latest member of the Automechanika global series of exhibitions and the second regional international exhibition held by the brand in Central Asia.
The exhibition focuses on the emerging potential markets in Central Asia, bringing together manufacturing enterprises, distributors, service providers and industry representatives in the field of maintenance. The automotive aftermarket is an important pillar of Uzbekistan's manufacturing industry, but there is a lack of trade fairs related to this field, and the exhibition will bring new vitality to the country's auto parts industry.
In Uzbekistan, the automobile industry, as a new industry, has seen rapid development in recent years. Uzbekistan International Auto Parts Show provides exhibitors with a platform to cooperate with auto parts buyers, retailers and manufacturers from Europe, Asia and CIS countries. At present, the development of the auto parts industry in Uzbekistan has led to the demand for related technologies, raw materials and investment. The rapid development of the automobile industry:
The automobile industry is one of the pillar industries of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan is the first country in Central Asia to produce automobiles, and is also the most mature country in the region's automobile industry chain. The cars produced include Chevrolet sedans, Isuzu buses and vans, MAN vans, and car engines and batteries, of which Chevrolet basically monopolizes the passenger car market. The number of cars in China exceeds 4 million. Car production has tripled in recent years, with a total of 418,734 cars and 327,000 passenger cars produced in 2023, according to the latest data released by the Statistical Service of Uzbekistan.
By 2030, Uzbekistan plans to increase domestic passenger car production to 1 million units. Auto imports rose 2.2 times year-to-date to $1.56 billion, while imports of auto parts rose 16.8 percent to $1.34 billion. In addition, more than 2,000 enterprises in the industry have worked closely, and the localization rate of parts has reached 50%.
