Five Symptoms of A Bad Clutch Master Cylinder

Do you hear any strange noises when you go to shift gears or put pressure on the clutch pedal? If you do, it could be an early warning sign of a bad clutch master cylinder.

Noise usually becomes louder or more frequent as cylinder condition deteriorates. If you've noticed them, don't make them too loud. It's best to find out what's causing the problem and then replace the damaged component.

Strange noises when pressing the clutch pedal could also be a sign of other parts in the transmission that are broken, such as a pressure plate or a thrown bearing.

You also get low fluid levels once the clutch master cylinder starts leaking. Change the clutch fluid as soon as you notice the fluid is dirty. If the new oil gets dirty quickly, you may also want to consider replacing the clutch master cylinder.
